The Friends of Louisburg Library is looking for a reboot. We need a group to help lead, challenge and grow supporters of a progressive 21st Century Library. The primary initiative at this time is to help educate the masses about how we engage and enhance the educational, cultural and recreational needs of Library District No. 1, Miami County - a taxing district of nearly 9,000 users.

ADVOCATE, SUPPORT, AND HAVE FUN.
The library currently serves its users with limited resources, constrained only by space - for materials, certainly, and more importantly for human capital.
Our mission is to encourage community participation in projects enhancing the library and its usefulness, while raising and managing funds intended for supplemental benefits to the library.
Friends of Louisburg Library was started in 1982. It is a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation that supports the library.
Thanks to our Friends, we have had book sales, special author events, support for some of our most beloved programming events such as Read Across America and SummerBASH, not to mention a laminating machine, casual seating in the Fiction Room, a study carrel that holds adult-only computers in the Fiction Room, a table for the children's computer, chairs, a rug and an ottoman in the Media Room.
