A connection of school and public library materials
Welcome.
librariesCONNECT is a cooperative project between the Louisburg Public Library and Louisburg Middle School Library. The project provides outreach services to students in grades 6-8. Each student’s school ID number serves as his or her library card number, which the student can use to have public library materials delivered to school each week.
All middle school students automatically have access to librariesCONNECT. Parents who wish to revoke access should complete the revocation form and return to the Louisburg Middle School Library.
With their card, 6th-8th grade students may:
· request Early, Juvenile and Young Adult Fiction books, audiobooks on CD & Playaways
· request Juvenile and Young Adult Graphic Novels
· request Juvenile, Young Adult and Adult Non-Fiction books
With their card, 6th-8th grade students may:
· check out materials for 3 weeks
· receive fines for overdue materials according to Louisburg Library’s fine policy
· be offered at least 2 fine-waiving opportunities each school year
With their card, 6th-8th grade students may NOT:
· check out DVDs & Magazines
· check out Adult Fiction books, audiobooks on CD & Playaways
· check out Adult Graphic Novels
· check out materials @ Louisburg Library with your librariesCONNECT information
Please be advised that it is the parent or guardian’s responsibility for monitoring their child’s checkouts, not the school, librarians or school employees. Louisburg Library and Louisburg Middle School Library catalog different materials and have different collection policies.
