Katherine Bailes has been involved in estate planning for over 35 years. Katherine began legal work as a paralegal at Brown, Koralchik & Fingersh (now Lewis Rice) law firm in Kansas City in 1982, assisting with the entrepreneurial client base. She successfully completed her law degree from the University of Kansas in 1987, in two and one-half years, while clerking at Husch & Eppenberger (now Husch Blackwell) law firm and raising a family. Katherine received honors in law school, including the Kansas Bankers Trust Award for Excellence in Estate Planning in 1987 and an AmJur award for top paper in Estate and Gift Tax. She became an associate, then partner at Husch & Eppenberger (now Husch Blackwell) in Kansas City; she started her own law firm in 1999. Katherine’s home office is in Louisburg, KS, where she is licensed to practice in the states of Kansas and Missouri.
