Local historian Gary Hicks will be performing a reenactment of Alexander Jackson Majors.
Accompanied with wife Louise as his time keeper, historian and reenactor Gary L. Hicks will reflect on ‘his’ life story as Col. Alexander Jackson Majors (1804-1900), noting his key roles in America’s western expansion of the 1800’s! Known in his own lifetime as 'The Great Freighter of the West' and 'Christian Freighter of the West', Majors was a prominent freighter on the Santa Fe and Oregon Trails; co-founder of the famed Pony Express; engaged in building the Transcontinental Railroad, and more!
